Visit OWH HERE to get to the blog hop on Saturday, Sunday and Monday! |
As promised, I have a give-away for my wonderful readers. Are you ready?
Since my challenge for the weekend involves 6x6 pads of paper, I thought I'd share the fun. For the give-away I'm giving away a brand-spankin' new 6x6 pad from My Minds Eye! This is from their Lost and Found collection and it's called Portobello Road. It's a gorgeous set of double-sided papers!
There are several ways to enter, so pay attention.
1) Post a comment here about WHY you would like this particular 6x6 pad of paper! What do you think you'll do with it? You get 1 entry for commenting on this blog post.
2) Post a comment on tomorrow's blog hop post! What about the card do you like? What would you write inside? Be creative! You get 1 entry for commenting on Saturday's blog post.
3) Look up at the right side of the blog...see that email subscribe box? If you really want to follow me, please sign up there. Or, you can sign up via the Google Friend Connect (bottom of right column). I just pretty-please ask only serious subscribers please. It makes bloggers sad when people subscribe for a contest then quickly unsubscribe when the contest is over. We feel lonely. You get 1 entry for subscribing and posting here that you subscribed! If you are already subscribed/a friend, then please let me know that too for your entry!
4) Visit the other blogs in the blog hop. Okay, no entries given for that, but I think you'll really enjoy seeing all the fun stuff out there and maybe snagging some more goodies!
There will be some other treats thrown inside the package as well! And depending on how many entries I receive, we might have a second winner. I don't know, we'll have to wait and see!
So, get ready to hop the weekend away in between your plans and I hope you can squeeze out a card or two in the fun. Here's hoping you win!
Hugs,
I would love this paper pad to attempt to finish it by using sketches like in the OWH tutorial. I was so inspired by Sandy using up one that I'd like to give it a try, too. Also, I LOVE MME's papers and this pad looks downright yummy! Thank you for the chance to win this & for your support of OWH. I can hardly wait to see your card tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteAlways watch Sandy and go, Yeah, I can do that, but my reality is not hers, lol. Sketches seem to stump me, do better CASEing. I know it's basically the same thing, but, what are you gonna do? LOL. And papers, oh my, know what you mean!! Thanks so much for stopping by and best of luck! Will be drawing tonight. Have this entry in the drawing!
DeleteThanks for offering the giveaway, Tamara! Since this is a Memorial Day Weekend blog hop if I were the lucky winner I would use the paper pack to make cards for OWH exclusively. I have signed up to follow you with Google Friend Connect. I am offering a paper giveaway also.
ReplyDelete:) Marie (OWH enrry #119)
Marie! Stopped by your blog a couple of times this weekend, lol. :) Thanks so much for participating in the blog hop in all these ways and for stopping by here. Appreciate it much. Have two entries for this comment (1 - commenting, 2, for following) and thank you so much for following me! It will help me keep accountable and remember to blog more! :) Will be drawing tonight, best of luck.
DeleteYou're so generous to offer a giveaway. I would use a 6x6 to try to follow the tutorial that's been bouncing around OWH for months to make a stack of cards using nothing but this paper and some solid cardstock. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful giveaway to celebrate Memorial Day and the blog hop! If I am the lucky winner I would use the ENTIRE stack to make cards for OWH. Our Heroes deserve the best! Thank you for supporting OWH and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh la la...I love blue..and I would be making cards for OWH because they are an awesome organization serving those who serve and sacrifice for us. Thank you for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI did sign up to follow your blog..until this blog hop today I didn't know you could actually follow blogs...I will be checking in from time to time to get new ideas.
ReplyDeleteI found this blog from the OWH page comments! SO! I would love to just play with the paper to see what happens!!! Sometimes I get good ideas just with tactile manipulation!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI would use the paper to continue on my journey through the OWH sketches. I started January 1st and haven't gotten very far.
ReplyDeleteI would enjoy incorporating origami into Hero cardmaking. Origami paper is too thin and not acid free. Thanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great pad to try the 6X6 tutorial.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome giveaway! I think the paper pad would be great for making masculine cards. So many cards seem to be made for women.
ReplyDeleteI'd try on of the 6x6 paper challenges with it. And, it's in my favorite color..shades of blue! The cards would, of course, end up in my OWH box!

I could see lots of "spring like" cards being made with this pad - I love the bird image at the bottom!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
Oooohhh...that a pretty paper pad that I have not seen yet! It looks vintage-y, so I'm thinking some OWH cards would definitely end up distressed and lightly stained...I have the perfect set of birdcage stamps to go with it too! Thanks so much for the opportunity to win!
ReplyDeleteI am also now a follower of your blog...can't believe it took me this long to find it!
ReplyDeleteI would also try the 6X6 tutorial that was posted on the OWH Stars and Strips Blog.
ReplyDeleteGreat card, love the circle background paper, really like how your mirrored the colors from it onto your center stamp and sentiment. Bites it all together! tFS!
ReplyDeleteLove the cool subdued colors on this Lost and Found pad. I am just getting serious about trying new things with my cards which is how I got started Blog Hopping! I would use this pad to try out new techniques I have been learning on all these wonderful blogs.
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower by email. Looking forward to seeing many of your new projects!!
ReplyDeleteI love everything by My Minds Eye (no, really I do!). I love the colors on the papers in this pad...very versatile and using a lot of my favorite color...blue!). I would use this for cards, most of which I send to OWH!
ReplyDeleteI am following on GFC!
ReplyDeleteI love blue! I would make cards with it using some sketches.
ReplyDeleteLove the paper. Thanks for the opportunity. dodge3670atAOLdotCOM
ReplyDeleteOh! Like this paper A LOT! I would use most to make several OWH cards(my first ever and I'm excited), some hero cards and then some thank u cards to all the people that have helped me move lately. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm also a subscriber and I promise I won't leave after the contest! :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this. I would use it on making cards. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI follow you thru google connect. And I wont leave after it is all done. I hate it when people do that. HUGS
ReplyDeleteWhat a generous give-a-way! These papers are sooooo pretty!! If I win I will use them with the 6x6 paper tutorial the OWH does. It's very easy to follow and makes many cards.
ReplyDeleteif I won, since the papers look very BLUE, I would make several cards for my dear granddaughter who's very favorite color is BLUE! (me too!) and of course i'd have to make some cards for OWH!!

I've wanted these papers since I first seen them! They would make awesome cards for all occasions!
ReplyDeleteThis paper pad looks like a fun mix of prints, and I think I'd be able to create a widd variety of OWH cards with it: thinking of you, birthday, missing you, AnyHero, really any occasion! One can never have too much designer paper... ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for offering this!

Wide variety. Not "widd". Obviously, I need more caffeine this morning so I can catch those pesky typos...
DeleteI tend to resist change, and I usually use 12x12 paper, but I would love to try to use a 6x6 pad using Sandy's tutorial as well. I love the patterns in this pack - blue is my favorite color!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your support for OWH - this blog hop has been so much fun!
I would make thinking of you cards...the colors can be suited for masculine and feminine...with embellishments they would be sweet cards.
